Today’s article is for those muscle car enthusiasts who loved the famous american TV show from the 80′s called “The Dukes of Hazzard”.
The Dukes of Hazzard really wasn’t an example of care of cars when it came to those crazy stunts and high jumps made with General Lee, a red Dodge Charger from 1969, and those who watched the series didn’t really think of the fact that a whole bunch of Dodge Chargers were destroyed, I mean the legend of muscle cars was tortured so hard that they didn’t have anymore 1969 models to use in the show and they started killing models from 1968 to 1971!
Everybody knows Ron Burgundy, the famous Anchorman from San Diego that bags every classy lady which he meets and likes! The guy is the alpha male in every context but he’s also a dumbass with a lot of charm and that’s why Will Ferrell signed a publicity contract with Dodge!
Ron Burgundy uses his funny way of being to alter people’s minds into thinking that Dodge’s new car model, the Dodge Durango, a pretty cool SUV that shares a lot of car parts and even assembly line with the Jeep Grand Cherokee, is the best deal when you want a lot of “sax”, relaxing night driving, and hilarious way of thinking everything that comes to mind
As always, VICE has made a great video documentary about illegal street racing but it has a catch: They filmed this interesting all about underground street racing video while being on two sides so you can also see the police’s point of view and their hard work which is focused on reducing nasty auto events like car crashes and etc.
These blokes seem the type of persons who do their own auto detailing, who know everything about the auto world and they are true auto enthusiasts but most of them don’t afford the acquisition cost of new fancy cars and instead, they buy a cheap car which will be tuned to the max regardless of fuel consumption, driveability and other factors so you’ll hear lots of turbo and blow off valve sounds coming from the car engines and you will see car neons, bright colours, custom made gauges and sometimes, a car’s top speed live!
Go on, don’t be shy, just hit the play button and watch this awesome underground street racing documentary!
The Fast and Furious series had a special staff which was designated to choose the cars that were perfect for the movies and sometimes, in an excessive care of cars they even rejected cars that were already assembled and tuned. The billion dollar movie franchise has a lot of car projects that didn’t appear into the movie series and that’s what this youtube video is all about.. Check it out!
In this awesome car racing movie series you could see most of the classic american autos like muscle cars or other iconic american cars and also imported cars (especially japanese ones) which had extraordinary car specs; Every car from the series had NOS and the public loved it when it was used in a thrilling car chase even if most of the time, a lot of them would get involved in some kind of a spectacular car crash.
I’ve recently saw the movie Don Jon and I must say that I didn’t expect that full turn around for Jon’s life. From the start of the movie he represented the perfect bachelor, the guy with his own apartament, the car owner of an awesome muscle car and a family type of person.
Don Jon has a lot of psychopathic characteristics and he isn’t the bad kind of psychopath; He has a distinct set of personality characteristics which include things like ruthlessness (from his driving manner with that 1972 Chevrolet Chevelle SS), mental toughness, charm and persuasiveness which help him get the ladies, a lack of empathy and of course an obsessive way of showing his car care, house cleaning, in general for anything which he owns and can clean. These features can help you become the alpha male with a badass muscle car who everyone wants to have as their friend!
Walter White’s cars weren’t expensive or beautiful and you could see that from the beginning of the Breaking Bad series when the mighty Heisenberg, back then a humble chemistry teacher, was driving a Pontiac Aztek which I must add, was a hideous car but still, he had great car care instincts and always repaired it.
Now, in these past seasons, Heisenberg started driving hot cars forgetting about care of cars because:
Walter White was beginning to show his real greedy face and mischevious thinking, typical for a meth mastermind!
Breaking Bad became a hit tv show which had endless possibilities of making money and thus great publicity offers from huge companies started “shooting it down” such as Chrysler with their brand new 2013 Chrysler 300 SRT-8!
The targeted audience for the 2013 Chrysler 300 SRT-8 from Breaking Bad, yeah it’s a car commercial, are those rich kids who want to look badass just like Heisenberg did when he first drove it on his parking space along with his son’s new Dodge Challenger!
So.. first of all, hi there auto world.. Paul Walker, yes, we have to talk about it! Why did I chose Paul Walker’s death for today’s auto topic? Well because he was a great movie star but the best role which he had was in Fast and Furios the series, a movie about cars! There, he played the role of a man who does everything that’s related to car racing, car chases, carjacking and other heists…
The tragic death of Paul Walker saddens me a lot but I’ll try to focus on the movie series from which we will always remember him. Paul or Brian O’Conner was a guy who loved cars both in Fast and Furious and in real life and you could see in the movie, a man who showed great care of cars especially for those imported racing cars which he loved and modified with great pleasure.
Just take a look at this awesome trailer for the new SkyMovies site which will have the whole collection of James Bond movies including, i hope, the Skyfall movie. They did a great job with editing some of the greatest movies with James Bond, making a James Bond car chase out of 6-7 movies which has at least one good car crash so car care is out of the question :).
If you’re interested about the cars which James Bond used throughout the time, then you’re still in the right place!
In this SkyMovies trailer, the James Bond role was played by different actors like:
This trailer made a great youtube video with lots of views and later on in this article, you’ll also see the Skyfall trailer which is from the new series of James Bond movies in which Daniel Craig has great acting skills. The new James Bond movie has as well a car chase scene and at least one good car crash.
Ohh and the clips which were put together to create the SkyMovies trailer are from James Bond movies like:
Are you ready for a full of action short Bmw movie from 2001 which has a car racing theme? Yes, this is a Bmw movie because it has, as a branded content one Bmw Z4 and the Bmw movie called Beat the Devil from The Hire series also has a handful of extraordinary actors like:
Clive Owen – has the “Driver” role which resembles with Jason Statham’s role in Transporter 1 that’s also a full of action Bmw movie with no car racing but still, this is an article about cars in movies.
James Brown – has great acting skills in this Bmw movie even if he’s a top singer and the main idea that surrounds his character is appealing to everyone: Deal with the devil theme.
Gary Oldman – has an exceptional talent when it comes to villain roles and this full of action Bmw movie which shows no care of cars whatsoever had the perfect “Devil” role for him but he didn’t get to sit in that Bmw Z4.
Danny Trejo – has, as usual, a small role in this Bmw movie with car racing and no car care manners but who cares about care of cars when watching this full of action short movie?
