Have you ever heard of Simona Halep? Well she’s a romanian tennis player that practically wasn’t anybody until she won some serious tennis championships, and now, because of her talent and not because of her care of cars, she received as a gift, a brand new Porsche 911 Carrera 4! Yes, that’s right, this is how you get a free Porsche!
Just take a look at this youtube video with Simona Halep checking out the Porsche museum a couple of months before receiving a Porsche 911 Carrera 4 as a gift; Back then, she said in an interview that she would like a sports car because she’s a sporty girl and that she wanted a red paint job with beige leather car interior;
When she came back from the WTA Finals in Singapore, the romanian tennis player Simona Halep was welcomed with her very own Porsche 911 Carrera 4.
Look now at her Porsche present, it’s exactly what she ordered! It makes you think it through though, like they already had an agreement before for this publicity stunt. Good for her but bad for us auto enthusiasts who don’t have any special talents in order to get a Porsche 911 Carrera for free; Still, keep in mind the fact that this Porsche has a nasty fuel consumption and we can’t afford driving it anyway :D, we should stick with our cheap cars.
Since then, there was some speculation that Porsche had a publicity contract with Simona Halep in order to do some marketing stuff but the german auto manufacturers denied it and insisted on the fact that this Porsche 911 Carrera 4 was really just a gift for all of her hard work and dedication. Hopefully she will also be included in Porsche’s publicity contract but until then, Maria Sharapova will be Porsche’s Ambassador and we, the car care kind of guys, would love to only drive such a great sports car!
